FOOD FOR FAMILIES:
The Knights Food for Families collection is taking place this weekend (April 11-12) due to Easter celebrations last week. This collection will go to Helping Hands in Beckley. Thanks again!
5TH SUNDAY BREAKFAST:
The Knights invite everyone to attend our 5th Sunday breakfast on March 29 right after 8:30 Mass. Contributions collected will be used to support the repair of our church bells. WARMING CENTER:
With the closure of the Pine Haven Homeless Shelter, the Warming Center’s work is of crucial importance in our community. If you wish to support their efforts, please contact Barbara at Beckley Community UMC, 271 S. Heber St., Beckley, WV 25801.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FOOD FOR FAMILIES:
The Knights food collection is being held March 7 and 8. Thank you again for all you do.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:
Stations of the Cross will be led by St. Francis School children weekly on the Fridays of Lent at 2:00 p.m. except Good Friday. Stations will also be offered each Friday at 7:00 p.m, and at 3:00 p.m. on Good Friday.
COLLECTING EYEGLASSES:
The Beckley and Beaver Lion’s Club is collecting eyeglasses to be sent to the poor in Third World countries. Please drop them in the boxes provided in both vestibules.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FOOD FOR FAMILIES:
The Knights food collection for the Hinton area will be held on February 7 and 8.
Cancellations:
Due to the weather, the meeting for new altar servers (scheduled January 27th) is cancelled. It will be rescheduled next week, weather permitting. Adoration this Wednesday is cancelled. However, we will still have Liturgy of the Word, and Wednesday evening Mass.
